Perched immediately above the popular surf spot with sweeping uninterrupted views of Tauranga Bay, we refer to this studio as the ‘Box Seat’. It's perfect if you wish to watch (and hear) the activity on the water below or gaze across into the stunning sandy bay.
This is a high spec Studio which includes a& 'state of the art' Electronic 'Eco' Bidet toilet suite. The interior decor is contemporary coastal and the combination of 100% wool carpet, timber flooring and Italian stone tiles give the overall feeling of natural barefoot luxury!
This 35 square metre Studio includes:
- New Zealand made 'Sleepy Head Elegance Latex' king size bed with quality bedding
- kitchenette with timber countertop, granite stone sink, tea/coffee facility, microwave & dishwasher & a spacious lounge area with dining table
- roll in shower with dual shower rain head,‘state of the art’ electronic Eco Bidet Toilet with heated seat (weight restriction 130 kilos)
- Italian stone bathroom tiles with underfloor heating, bespoke native timber vanity, heater, LED mirror
- 100% NZ wool carpet and real oak timber flooring
- dining and lounge area with flat screen TV, NZ-made 100% wool-covered lounge chair, occasional rattan chair & footstool
- a private north/west-facing deck overlooking the surf out to Wall Island.
- outdoor BBQ provided on request
Rate: from $550 to $650 per night.
Minimum Stay of 2 nights.
Maximum of 2 Adults.

Accommodation NOT suitable for children or infants. The minimum age of any guest is 17 years.

Review from Dec 22, 2022Amazing Experience. My wife and I have travelled extensively all over the world, and The Bay House is one of then best experiences we have had. We had Cottage 1, and the ocean view is right in your face. You lie in bed and hear the waves crash and the view is amazing. Sandra and Doc were amazing hosts and went out of their way to make sure our experience was first rate. The cottages are modern and contemporary and even included a "Japanese" toilet. You will love your stay here.

Review from Dec 20, 2022Exceptional in every respect. First the view: grandiose. Then the room: perfect. large, bright, open to the bay. Air conditioning. Excellent bed. Perfect lighting. Beautiful bathroom. Nice shower, Japanese (actually Korean) toilet. Studio 1 has the most beautiful view. The 2 is identical, seen only slightly less wide than the 1. the apartments at the back have less view but are larger. Breakfast is perfect. the extremely friendly welcome. This is, by far, the best place I've ever stayed. I extended my stay by one night.

Review from Dec 20, 2020Gorgeous, wild & wonderful place to be. Directly overlooking beautiful Tauranga Bay with its wild waves & many surfers, this must be one of the best places to stay ever. Tucked away down a dead end road leading to a headland. Wonderful, warm, beautiful chalets with all the latest modcons & incredible views of the whole bay ( front chalet) & changing weather & skies. Super clean. Great hosts. Breakfast was excellent. Had dinner at the Star Tavern down the road - great West Coast experience & food was excellent.
